Description
CX125HC
Our new 12 ½" Bench top Planer with Helical Style Cutterhead features a powerful 2HP and a 6 row helical cutterhead with 24 indexable cutters giving you power and superior finish you would expect from a stationary machine. Designed to manage larger, deeper cuts in wood, the helical style cutterhead is quieter and delivers a smoother finish compared to straight knife planers which will reduce your sanding time. This unit comes equipped with a cut depth indicator that automatically measures the depth of cut for each pass you take up to 1/8" and features built in dust collection with dual ports at 2-1/2" & 4" for easy hook up to a shop vac or dust collector.
The cutterhead raises and lowers on a 4 column precision ground carriage system which drastically reduces snipe. The convenient side carry handles allow for ease of portability and blade changes on this machine are simple and super fast. Chip an insert cutter? Simply unscrew the indexable cutter and rotate to get a fresh new cutting edge. Say goodbye to cumbersome and time consuming blade changes with traditional straight knife planers.
We tested this planer directly against the popular selling DeWalt DW735 13" Planer and found this machine to superior in noise level, smoothness of cut and overall performance. This machine is designed to tackle any type wood and is a welcome addition to any size shop or worksite. This machine is backed by a full 3 year warranty and available exclusively at Busy Bee Tools.

Good build quality
100% pleased with this planer. It's a backup for my 18" planer, as well as handy being mobile in comparison. Best called an "offset replaceable knifes- set in a helical pattern" planer as opposed to truly helical unit, but that's just my gearhead mind speaking.

12.5” Helical planer
Works well, no problems setting it up. The finish is excellent. The only thing missing are rollers on the top to pass the workpiece back.

Excellent planer!
This helical Planer provides an excellent finish that needs little sanding to bring your project to the final stages. I upgraded from a 12.5 inch DeWalt bladed planer. Although the DeWalt tool is more robust and heavy, if you plan to use this tool in a shop, it provides a better finish and appear to be quieter. Used it on both softwood and hard woods. It woks extremely well on both.

12.5" helical planer
Bought it on a whim, the price was right and i was due for a new planer anyway. I was super delighted to find all the exterior panels to be metal instead of plastic. Also the 4 corner screw-post height adjustments are rock solid. My first experience with a helical cutter: quiet and sooooo smooth of a cut. Was worth every penny. Also like the depth of cut gauge on the front edge.

Not as advertised
This is NOT a helical planer. It is a planer with helical-style inserts. They are arranged in a straight line, not in a helical pattern and is prone to sniping like regular bladed planers.

Nice product
I have yet to put it through its paces but so far I am impressed by the workmanship, quality control check, etc for the cost. Looking forward to testing it out.

Immediately impressed with the quality and design. Everything worked with no need for adjustments. Performed better than expected.

12.5 inch planer with helical cutterhead
First use out of the box this planer outperformed my previous Ridgid planer in smoothness of cut, power and noise level. My first project was making a maple tabletop for a small table. The maple came out beautifully. I would highly recommend this tool for any small workshop.

good planer
had this planer for three months now. I have run 1000 ft threw it of red pine. I ran about 50 ft of red oak and have about 300 ft of birch still to run threw it for my cabinet doors. So far the blades are still cutting well. I have run some 12" boards thew it taking off 1/16". It slows down a bit but keeps going and still does a nice job.
