Our 8" Bench top jointerwith Helical Style Cutterhead features a powerful 1HP motor and a 4 row helical cutterhead with 16 indexable cutters giving you power and superior finish you would expect from a stationary machine.
Designed to manage larger, deeper cuts in wood, this parallelogram style jointer with helical style cutterhead is quieter and delivers a smoother finish compared to straight knife jointers which will reduce your sanding time. You can say goodbye to cumbersome and time consuming blade changes like straight knife jointers. Blade changes on this machine are simple and super fast. Chip an insert cutter? Simply unscrew the indexable cutter and rotate to get a fresh new cutting edge.
Teflon coated tables allow for better movement of your work even when dealing with the toughest of hardwoods. The table also features extendable handles, extending the surface for longer pieces of wood and double as strong carry handles for ease of portability. The depth of cut gauge helps you accurately set the cut depth to remove the desired amount of material.
The strong aluminum fence is lightweight keeping the overall weight of the machine down and has positive stops at the most common fence positions; 90° & 135° outwards. This unit also features a dual dust collection port at 2-1/2" & 4" for easy hook up to a shop vac or dust collector.

Benchtop jointer
This is my first jointer, and I choose this one because it's easy on my budget and small enough for my small workshop. The machine works fine, however the dust port is not properly sealed. The machine keeps clogging because the air and dust is leaking out through the side of the dust port. So I fixed it by putting a tape around it. It worked. All in all the helical cutter works well, and my project didn't require a lot of sanding.

This jointer is doing a great job, with nice features you would normally find only on industrial grade jointers like Helical cutter, 8 inches capacity and the table extension allow you to work on long pieces of stock, all this in a compact benchtop format. I am very happy with my purchase. Nice for the small shop!
Nice for the small shop! Does great work once set up ! It's a little difficult to get the tables set up but once done this jointer is a bargain! (tip: make sure the infeed table is actually at zero before you start, don't trust the factory set depth guage! It's probably not set properly)

Craftex CX08BTHC jointer: table adjustments
I’ve had the “joy” of owning the Craftex CX08BTHC for a couple of months now. But only today did I finally get it to make nice clean cuts. The tables were not set well “out of the box” so adjustments had to be made. What a horror. The manual lays out a method for setting the tables, but the King look-alike manual says it best: “NOTE: It is a very difficult adjustment to make. We highly recommend that any parallelogram adjustment to the tables be done by a qualified service technician.” Many hours later I guess I’m now a “qualified technician” as I’ve worked out a method to keep the machine parts stable while making adjustments. Not a fun project so I don’t give a high recommendation. Take your chances!

8 inch benchtop jointer
The set up was easy and performance out of the box was great. So far I have only used it for edge jointing, but it put a beautiful edge on some maple boards i ran through. I highly recommend this tool for any small workshop.

Better than King
This is a great jointer for the price. It looks and I'm sure if exactly the same as the King 8" , however its a much better price and has a 3 year warranty. So far zero complaints or issues.
