excellent value
i purchased all 3 sizes of this DRO and installed them on my manual milling machine. very happy with the results. the readouts are sensitive to any movement of the table or column, and if i dont clamp one of the axis and machine starts to drift, i can see it clearly on the readout. the readout also "remembers" where it is, even if turned off and you traverse the table. excellent value for the money.

DIGITAL REMOTE READOUT 0 6IN. IN AND METRIC
It works but I noticed a pin prick hole the size of a pinhead on the scale surface showing bare metal under the protective brown cover, and the long plastic arm the LCD screen attaches to was missing, I cannot be bothered to claim these issues, the product is working and I will make do as is,

Works good. DRO is better than the one in the picture.
These little DROs are great. So far I've purchased 7 of various lengths. It's an easy upgrade for old machines. The display is not as shown; it's actually much better the the one in the image.

Preset dosen't work
The pre-set button does not work on any of the device’s options

Finally an affordable DRO.
I just finished installing the Z axe after installing the X and Y axes a while back on my mill / drill, I was so satisfied with X and Y that I ordered a 6 in. model for the Z. It repeats to .001 which is as good as the units costing several hundred dollars. I think to attain best accuracy you must set up both ends of the scale equal distance to the connecting point on the data reader.

Excellent value
I purchased the 24", 12" and 6" units and transformed my 25 year old 1 1/2 hp mill/drill into a very accurate machine. I had contemplated doing this 12 months ago at a cost of over $450.00 from an off shore supplier.
