Lathe
Love the lathe. Very useful for smaller wood crafting projects.

First mini lathe
Awesome product with steady performance. Turned some small projects with soft and hard wood - like Pine, Maple, Ash and Oak - without worrying the motor would keep up. Great especially when space is limited; I just use it on my work bench and move it around easily. Vibration is not and issue. Really enjoy the product so far!

Mini Lathe
I bought an earlier model (different colour and minus the 4.5" tool rest). I turn mostly spindles and it works fine. The variable speed is fantastic. I did try to turn a 6" piece of 6" dia. oak and it was a bit much for the motor. Any semi aggressive cutting and the motor stopped momentarily (thermal protection I assume). Since the bed isn't long, I found it difficult to gouge a bowl because the tail stock got in the way of my gouge, but that's to be expected I guess. I have a longer head chuck on mine (after-market) and can still get a 12.5" spindle on the machine. Only complaints; the banjo doesn't slide smoothly, I had to file the edge of the too rest smooth to keep my tools from chattering across it, and I removed the ball from one end of the ball and rod tool hight adjustment. The ball contacted the bed every time I tried to tighten it. Good tool for the money though

CRAFTEX CX SERIES
The "CRAFTEX CX SERIES MINI WOOD LATHE" I purchased looks very well built. I haven't actually used it to make anything yet, but have tested it and everything seems to works well. The shipping was quick. I am quite satisfied with the service.

Works as expected but one flaw
It’s a good little lathe the only issue I have is with the tool rest tightening. The bolt and bar to tighten are not long enough making it so you have to unscrew one end of the bar to tighten the rest. Pro tip make sure you put that ball back on when you’re done once you get going and making shavings that little guy is hard to find

Great hobby lathe for the price. Overall apearance and finish are good and it's been a nice little add to the workshop so far. thanks!

Mini Lathe
Tool rest on this lathe does not allow you to turn the inside of a bowl; rest lock handle jambs on rest base; no info on bolt size needed to secure lathe to bench; poor power

Mini Wood Lathe
I like the solidness of the lathe. It may be small but its big in my shop. Its used for making kids toys and small wooden wheels for model cars and trains. I am glad I got this lathe in my shop.
