The BBCY3 Premium 3 HP Cyclone Dust Collector delivers up to 2,900 CFM of airflow, 1-micron canister filtration, and convenient remote operation for demanding woodworking dust collection systems. Read Less
The Busy Bee Tools BBCY3 Premium Cyclone Dust Collector is built for woodworkers who need powerful airflow, effective particle separation, and reliable filtration. Its 3 HP motor produces up to 2,900 CFM of suction capacity and 12.5" H2O of maximum static pressure, providing the performance needed to support multiple dust collection lines.
The cyclone system creates a vortex that separates heavier wood chips and debris from the airflow before they reach the filter. Collected material drops into a 45-gallon steel drum equipped with a viewing window and fast-acting quick-release handle, making it easier to monitor the fill level and empty the drum.
A spun-bond polyester canister filter captures 99.9% of particles down to 1 micron. Its pleated construction provides a large filtration surface area to support efficient airflow. When dust accumulates on the filter, the external crank handle helps dislodge the buildup into the lower collection bag. Regular filter cleaning helps maintain airflow and overall collection performance.
The clear 8" inlet includes three 4" openings for connecting up to three dust collection lines. Its transparent, heavy-gauge plastic construction provides visibility through the inlet, helping operators identify potential blockages. A clear connecting hose offers additional visibility through the collection system.
Built in Taiwan, the BBCY3 features heavy-gauge steel construction, upgraded hardware, and heavy-duty swivel casters for workshop mobility. An included remote control provides convenient operation from around the shop.

FAQ
What is the airflow capacity of the BBCY3?
The BBCY3 provides suction capacity of up to 2,900 CFM and maximum static pressure of 12.5" H2O.
Can multiple machines be connected to this dust collector?
The clear 8" inlet includes three 4" openings, allowing up to three dust collection lines to be connected. Actual performance at each machine will depend on the duct layout, line length, fittings, and the number of open connections.
What size particles does the canister filter capture?
The spun-bond polyester canister filter captures 99.9% of particles down to 1 micron.
How does the cyclone system work?
Incoming air forms a cyclone that separates heavier wood chips and larger particles from the airflow. The debris then drops into the steel collection drum before the finer particles reach the canister filter.
How is the canister filter cleaned?
Turn the external crank handle to dislodge dust from the filter pleats. The loosened material falls into the lower collection bag.
How large is the collection drum?
The BBCY3 includes a 45-gallon steel collection drum with a viewing window and quick-release handle.
Can the dust collector be operated remotely?
Yes. A remote control is included for convenient operation from around the workshop.
Is the unit mobile?
Yes. The BBCY3 is equipped with heavy-duty swivel casters to make repositioning it around the workshop easier.
